Freshman Team Update:

The BearKat Freshmen finally got a chance to play a match on Tuesday against Klein Oak.  Although the Oak team took the majority of the points there were some highlights worth noting:

Cody Hunter and Chandler Stalford played an excellent doubles match in the number two position starting strong and then holding off a late charge by the Panthers.  Both boys demonstrated good teamwork in coming together with a strategy for victory, Cody nearly made it a perfect day, just missing out on a victory in a tough singles match, losing in a tie-breaker

Another highlight was the play of Hannah Bayer.  Hannah teamed with Wil Hua to dominate the Oak mixed doubles in a match that was never in doubt as the BearKat duo took control early.  Hannah also scored a point for the Kats in singles late in the match.

Eking out a win in boys singles was Ethan Stanford in another late finishing match.  Also playing extremely well and losing close matches were Danliel Lattin and Kodey Arsenaux, who both just missed, losing 6-8 in their singles matches.  All in all the play by the freshmen is improving week by week and we are very proud of how this team is coming together.
